Rush Limbaugh has been in the news a lot of late for calling American student Sandra Fluke a "slut", "prostitute" and saying that she (and other women) should make sex tapes in exchange for contraception. But to people like me in England, the main question people are asking is: "Who the fuck is Rush Limbaugh?" Here are some essential facts about the broadcaster.
* Rush, aged 61, isn't a misogynist. "How can I hate women when my Mom is one?" he says.
* Despite joking that women should make sex tapes, Rush, 64, doesn't watch porn himself. "My Mom has put a parental control block on my internet and I don't know the password," he says.
* Rush believes he started to go bald because of his superior intellect. "As my brain grew more spectacularly massive, it pushed the hair off the top of my head," the 67-year-old explained to listeners to his radio show.
* Rush's favourite ever album is 'The Best of Rush'. The radio star, 71, recently named his second favourite as 'Teaches of Peaches'. "Peaches got some solid electro beats on that record," he said.
* Rush, 79, may have been married four times, but there is only one woman in his life: his Mum Joan!
* Rush may not have sired any offspring, but the intellectual powerhouse, 86, treats his staff like his own children! So much so that they are required to dress like babies in his presence and must refer to him only as "Papa Rush" or "Daddy Limbaugh".
