Next Blog>>

I posted before about Blogger's Next Blog>> feature. I revisited all the blogs linked before, but none of them have been updated.

Anyway, may as well try again.

Link 1: Katajone
The first blog today is a family blog. Guess what? They just had a baby! Congratulations! There's over 1,500 posts on this blog. You could probably stalk them pretty good after reading them all.

Link 2: Stay Puft
Second up is a music blog. I fancy myself a serious music fan but I haven't heard of hardly any of the acts mentioned. Not that that's a bad thing, it turns the blog into a journey of discovery. Sadly, it hasn't been updated since April 2011, just before the Coachella music festival. Hopefully, blog writer Drew wasn't caught up in some sort of orgy of music-based death and destruction there, rendering him unable to blog or something.

Link 3: Open Maps
If you are a fan of maps, then this is the blog for you. It not only has map news, but blogger Chris's thoughts on how mapping applies to various news events, like the US FAA's ruling that drones need to remain in sight of their owner.

This is a photography blog. Blogger SC, who lives in Malaysia, has taken some quite excellent pictures, mainly nature shots, and are worth checking out. The blog hasn't been updated since May 2011, I just pray that nature hasn't taken a horrible revenge on SC for him photographing it.

The Wright family's blog is the usual mix of updates, recipes etc. Like so many of these blogs, it hasn't been updated for about a year. Hopefully, the family weren't wiped out in a King Ralph-style massacre, leaving only an obscure, obnoxious cousin as head of the family.

Anna Kendrick And Peter Shilton

I had a dream recently that I was at a pub with my Dad and actress Anna Kendrick. My Dad had started to wear a wig (in the dream, not in real life).

Anna and I questioned my Dad as to why he had started to wear a wig.

As we did, former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton popped over to our table to tell us that he had had a hair transplant at the age of 23 (in the dream, not in real life) and it had given him the confidence to be a world class goalkeeper. To be fair, he had fabulous hair for a 65 year-old, all dark and curly, like a young Tom Jones. He said my Dad should consider doing it too.

I don't really know what any of this means. Maybe my Dad should get a hair transplant? Or maybe I should start hanging out with Anna Kendrick?

The result of this is that I went on Netflix and watched Rapture-Palooza, starring my new bff Anna K.

Guess Who's Back?

I've not been on here in a while. I've not been up to much, just playing Super Smash Bros for Wii U mainly.

In my absence, my blog has become even more popular. Looking at the stats, I've been getting over 5 hits a day! Sometimes over the magic 10 hits mark that all bloggers aspire to! Good times indeed.

Last time on here, I mentioned that my one YouTube video had got 21 hits. Well, guess what, it's up to 23 hits now! Though one of them was me looking at the page just now. Still counts.

My prediction for 2015 is that even more things in the world will be chargeable via USB cable. That is all.

Next Blog>>

One of the features of Blogger is the link to a random blog, available via the "Next Blog>>" link at the top of the page. Sometimes it's fun to check it out to see what other people in the world are doing.

The first blog today is about Japanese manga and anime series Sailor Moon. I've not read or seen any Sailor Moon but it seems pretty popular on Tumblr. News on here includes Sailor Moon appearing at an animation festival in London and pictures of Sailor Moon cosplay. Sadly, this blog's last post was in 2011 and has since moved to its own site at moon-chase.com.

Link 2: Titus The Dog
Clicking on the Next Blog>> link on Moon Chase! takes us to a blog named after the writer's dog. The most recent post, in November last year, is about the writer going on a walk with Titus and seeing some cows. Pictures of the cows are provided. The cow in the second picture down is looking at the camera as it is pissing. The eye contact weirds me out. Other posts mainly include details of days out in Dumfries and Galloway. Somehow, the writer(s) of this blog seem to have disappeared the Next Blog>> link. It means we'll have to start again back from my blog.

As the next blog is always random, you can start again from your own blog and get different results. This time the first blog is about a baby called Kelvin. He was born in 2008 and the blog started then; I guess it was meant to be a kind of scrapbook for him to see when he was older. Or maybe just grandstanding from the parents. Sadly, the last post was in 2010, just before Kelvin's second birthday. Hopefully he's OK and the blog wasn't ended because he died or something.

Following on from baby Kelvin is a food blog. I'm guessing by someone called Andreas. The most recent post from two weeks ago is a delicious looking blueberry lemon coffee cake. Impressive work by Andreas. He should invite me over some time to try it. Looking through his blog he seems to know his stuff and the food looks great. The blog has been going for over five years now so there's plenty to catch up on.

As Andreas has also disappeared the Next Blog>> link on his site, I'm going to make that the last one today. Try it yourself and see what you get! Or don't, I'm not that bothered really.

Shirts vs Skins

When I use the bus, I like to imagine some of the other passengers are celebrities. Which celebrities they are is based loosely on who they look like. Today, for example, a larger woman with a sour face and short blonde hair became Pat Butcher. The woman sitting next to her was Bette Midler. The bus was mainly full of old women this morning. We were going to be guests on Paul O'Grady's show.

Sometimes we are go to a glamorous movie premiere, sometimes we just go over to Clooney's house to hang out. Lou Diamond Phillips (my nickname for him is "the Diamond") has us round to shoot some hoops (always shirts vs skins). Judge Reinhold hosts awesome pool parties. Jeremy Irons is a whizz at charades. I won't say what happens when we go to Charlie Sheen's place.

Always A Pencil And Never A Pen

I was always slightly envious of those kids at school who always turned up without a bag. They normally kept a small pencil in their pocket (always a pencil and never a pen), generally from a betting shop or Argos, that they would use if they ever needed to write their name on anything, or to stab someone a bit on the arm.

These kids were of course the bullies, or the really stupid kids who were mates with the bullies. I wasn't envious of their lifestyle, nor did I want to end up in prison at any point in my life as they invariably would do, I just liked the fact that they didn't have to carry a bag around all day. Got pretty annoying to be honest.

All My Troubles Seemed So Far Away

I sometimes set myself goals at work. Not involving my actual work, that would be boring.

Yesterday my goal was to convince someone that if you planted crisps in the ground, you can grow potatoes. I can't say for certain that I succeeded but I certainly got at least one person giving it some serious thought.

Yesterday was also one of the most famous Beatles songs, though one of the more boring ones in my opinion. Sometimes when I listen to songs, I like to imagine my own music video to go with it. For 'Yesterday', I always imaging something in black and white with Anna Karina in it.

Now Anna Karina was one of the most awesome French actresses, perhaps even the most awesome French actress, even though she's really Danish. There are literally thousands of pictures of her on Tumblr looking beautiful and cool and often smoking cigarettes (like French actresses have a tendency to do in photographs). I know this because I've reblogged many of them to my own page.

And as for Tumblr…

My Tumblr Porn Blog Hell

If nothing else, the above is probably the best title of any blog post I've ever done.

I'm not embarrassed to admit that I'm on Tumblr. Nor to say that it's probably the best social network website. Mainly because you can be on it, have fun and not have to have any interactions with anyone else on there if you don't want to.

Anyway, I'm the restless sort who likes to change their theme and blog title on a semi-regular basis. I don't want anyone looking at pictures of French actresses or whatever I post (it's mainly French actresses to be honest) on my Tumblr to get bored if they come back for repeat viewings.

One thing I never changed, until a few months ago, was the blog address. I was quite happy with faustblog.tumblr for well over a year since I joined. Eventually though, I got bored of that too and changed it.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I was at a loose end and thought I'd check out my old address to see if anyone else had taken it. It turns out someone had. Someone with an interest in pictures of women with big tits.

If you really want to, you can see it here if you must. I just want to make it clear that it has nothing to do with me.

Witness Relocation

If I ever get to see a mob hit, then testify in court in exchange for witness protection and have to be relocated (and I hope to one day), I'd want to live on the coast somewhere.

I want a place not too close to a lighthouse, but not too far away either. On summer evenings, I'd invite locals over to play football in the garden. The lighthouse would make a useful though intermittent floodlight if any games went on into the night.

Afterwards we would retire to my study for brandy. We would have a good laugh and tell stories of great goals we've scored over the years, but lament our now decaying bodies and dodgy knees.

I've tried to increase my chances of this happening by spying on people I determine to be potential murderers and mob bosses, but so far nothing. I shall keep on the case.

I'm Back, Baby

Not been on here for a while. In my absence my blog has had literally millions of views (erm...). No, I've been busy joining the 21st Century.

Firstly, I signed up for Spotify and used it about twice. Still counts.

Secondly, I also joined Netflix (via PS3). I've used it mainly for '24', 'Archer' and 'Portlandia'. Saved me a fortune in not having to buy DVD box sets.

I got a new phone too. It's not a smart phone, I'm not that up-to-date, and I don't need access to the internet all day long, but I can still use it for Twitter via text message. The things they can do nowadays, amazing.

That's about it, pretty much got the 21st Century sewn up now, I can take it easy for the next 87 years or so.

Tom Cruise vs Will Smith

I had a dream the other night that I was in a car with Tom Cruise (he was driving) and as we were pulling into a parking space at the Co-Op, Will Smith drove up and stole the space. Cruise was pretty crestfallen about this.

I told him he should use his influence on Smith. "What influence?" Cruise asked. "Well, the fact that you're higher in the Church of Scientology than he is," I said to him.

Cruise got out and went over to Will Smith as he was getting out of his car looking pretty pleased with himself (as he often does). Cruise whispered something in his ear (I don't know what), and the cheesy grin was wiped from Smith's face. He got back into his car and moved away. Cruise came back and we took the space with text-book parking. We high-fived.

I don't know, or want to know, what this dream means. And no, I'm not gay.

Building and Civil Engineering

My New Year's resolution was to lie more often as it seems like fun. Like most people, I forgot about it by about 2 January.

But having seen the above the other day, I can now pretend I own my own building and civil engineering company, and do my regular job for pleasure only. That last part will be the hardest lie to pull off.

Chop Their Hands Off

Someone at work stole my mug that says "hot stuff" on it and I'm pretty pissed off about it. Its matching "cutey" mug is safe though.

I still have the coaster.

This all comes after my Audrey Hepburn mug got stolen last Christmas. I'm pretty sure that someone is out to get me, starting off by stealing my mugs at a rate of one every four months. It's a crazy plan, but so crazy that it might just work.

Happy Birthday

Happy 7th birthday to my dog, Lily, for yesterday (21 April).

She's a big fan of my blog and will almost definitely see this.

Bobby Hill and Tony Scott RIP

Going on the internet a week or so ago, I was confronted with the following Bobby Hill-related question:

The answer is, of course, yes.

In sadder news, Tony Scott committed suicide in LA by jumping off a bridge. Unfortunately, when I went on Twitter, "#WellDone3" and "#fishsongs" were trending right underneath the trends relating to his death:

That is all.

Kermit the Frog Green

I don't know why I found this so funny, but... I've been looking at laptops on Amazon, 'cus mine is sadly dying a slow painful death, and this one particular laptop had mainly 5-star reviews, but there was one 1-star review amongst all of the glowing praise. I read it and the reason why the buyer gave it 1-star was because s/he'd ordered it in black and received it in "kermit the frog green"...

Like I say, I don't know why I found this so funny but I laughed for like 5 minutes after reading it.

Come check out my other blog, where I collect together a bunch of good, bad and weird album covers:
